Project description
How can Inzicht Verlicht data from the J.F. Kennedylaan and the Onze Lieve Vrouwestraat intersection be turned into useful information for the city of Eindhoven and its citizens?
Context
The part of this project is to analyse the CSV files received, which contain data on sound measurements, video images & CO₂ levels collected from the intersection of the J.F. Kennedylaan and the Onze Lieve Vrouwestraat in Eindhoven. The CitizenCity project started to try to use data in a useful and beneficial way, especially for the citizens of the area.
The goal of this project is to provide the client with useful insights from the data, so they can show citizens what the benefit is of using the data. At first the datasets will be explored individually and in combination to identify patterns, correlations and trends.
In addition, the project will assess the quality and completeness of the data, document our analysis process carefully and design visualizations or dashboards that make the findings clear and accessible for stakeholders. The project there will also use and analyse the documentation from a student that worked on this project previously, to get more information about the project.
Results
The final deliverables include a research document examining whether data-driven decision making is important for municipalities. Additionally, the data we recieved for this project was enriched and used to create dashboards, from which useful insights were created. Together, these deliverables support informed decision making and provide a clear understanding of the value of data-driven approaches.
