Project description
Explorative project that researches the following questions: What are the benefits of small scale and low cost greenhouses, how can the OpenRemote platform be used for managing and monitoring greenhouses and how can OpenRemote integrate with other similar platforms that are focused on Home automation.
Context
The project is part of the Internet of Things (IoT) domain, whilst exploring topics such as greenhouses and home automation.
Results
2 Research papers, a conceptualized design for a mobile app that facilitates the management of greenhouses through OpenRemote and a realised integration between OpenRemote and HomeAssistant.
About the project group
We're a multinational group, with various backgrounds e.g,. software, media, business. We've spend the majority of 18 weeks working on the project as part of the Open Learning course/semester, using an agile approach.
