How to re-design Guadian360’s InfoSec vulnerability scanner for Debian based systems?
Context
In the domain of IT Security for smaller clients with no dedicated security department and lack of skilled personnel in that area the project aims to provide an open source agent which checks the security posture of a client machine and suggests improvements. Guardian360 offer a windows solution and we are developing a linux solution based on their code.
Results
A running InfoSec agent which can scan and present results to the client. It runs on linux and is modular. Discovery of which metrics on linux are vital for the security posture and how to check them for potential flaws in the configuration
