How does cloud networking work and what is the difference in comparison with a traditional network?
Context
I performed a migration to the Aruba Cloud Networking solution for Aloyisius Stichting. They have over 30 schools across the Netherlands. Before all their internet traffic was send to our datacentre through an EVPN and now they have a local outbreak for their internet traffic. Only the RFC1918 traffic is tunnelled to our datacentre. This will increase the performance for the growing amount of students.
Results
I delivered the first phase of the migration to the Aruba Cloud, this consisted of pre-staging the gateways for each location. Building VPN connectors in de cloud and modifying our datacentre firewall for the new situation. After the preparation I’ve made a migration document for my colleagues assisting me for replacing all the hardware on location.
About the project group
I followed a specialized openlearning semester. I was allowed to follow an external course from Aruba and perform real life projects for the company 4IP Solutions.
