Project description
How can we help people with Long Covid gain a grip on their situation and provide them with meaningful support tools to enable them to regain agency over their well-being?
Context
Covid-19 left a huge impact on our society, not only during lockdown but also now, with many people experiencing post-covid symptoms that last from weeks to years.
These people often deal with issues regarding a lack of appropriate support within the medical system and grip on their situation. With this project we aim to build a self-help tool that helps them in a positive way.
Results
The biggests outcomes of our project are the Long Covid Buddy app and the network that we built, including external partners in the health ecosystem and long covid community.
Our solution is an app that has been tested with long covid patients that utilizes pacing to help users manage chronic fatigue and symptoms. By translating subjective and biometric data we can create clear and actionable insight for these people. We're aiming to built a tool that helps users regain agency in their daily life.
In the next semester we are beta testing our app to further improve and be able to launch a usable version that provides meaningful value to the user and help people with long covid, which is the goal of our project.
