Project description
The goal of the project is to create an app/game that can bring a new angle for children to learn music creation via a simplified beat maker. We want the children, between class 4 and 7, to have good experience with the app/game, so that they can get the intrigue to continue music if they find it fun. This is partially done through the workshop that has been made around the app/game, where the company goes to schools for one lesson hour to introduce the app/game and after that let’s the children experience it on their own for usually 30 minutes.

My contribution is (re) designing systems for the app/game to create more feedback for the players, creating a loop for them to go through so they have a reason to play beyond the workshop. As well as creating a new version that can run fully on HTML based within GDScript instead of C#. To is to allow more flexibility and compatibility of the app/game, that currently is harder to do due to Godot not allowing C# to be built on web.
About the project group
A graduate student at Fontys ICT is in the final phase of the bachelor programme and works independently on a graduation assignment rooted in professional practice. The assignment addresses a concrete ICT-related challenge and requires the integration of technical knowledge, research skills, and professional competencies.
During the final semester, the student analyses a real-world problem, develops and implements a substantiated solution, and reflects critically on both the process and the outcome. As part of the graduation moment, the student presents and demonstrates their work at **Innovations Insight**, explaining the relevance, approach, and results to a diverse audience of professionals, students, and teachers. This presentation forms an essential part of the assessment and demonstrates the student’s readiness to enter the ICT profession.
