ASML Lithography machine game
Project description
Design an interactive solution to enable employees and visitors at ASML to engage with digital humans while learning about the company’s technologies and processes.
Context
The main stakeholder of this project is ASML, a leading innovator in semiconductor manufacturing, known for its EUV and DUV lithography systems. The company deploys digital humans—UE5 metahumans powered by ChatGPT—on multiple interactive screens across its campus, providing information tailored to their personas. While informative, these interactions are not fully immersive or engaging. This project aims to enhance them by creating gamified experiences that combine problem-solving, learning, and exploration, strengthening the connection between employees, visitors, and the digital humans.
Results
The main research question - "How can we create an engaging and interactive digital human experience for ASML that combines learning, challenge, and connection for employees and visitors?" was answered through the created concept and tested and validated through the proof of concept. The final deliverable - a game, consisting of 5 mini-games, that allows the users to explore and get a better understanding of the process within one of ASML's main machines. Each mini-game represents a different part of the microchip creating process in a simplified and gamified way, making it educational and accessible to the targeted audiance.
