Project description
Create a fun and engaging game for children with dyslexia between 7~10 years old to help them practice grammar.
Context
We were tasked by the Fontys Lectorate to create a fun and engaging game for children. These children struggle with language due to their dyslexia. The purpose of this game is to help them practice their grammar while offering dynamic feedback and a story line to motivate these children to keep learning.
Results
We have created a fun game set in a medieval castle where children learn through playing various minigames. These minigames are based on real-life exercises that they would normally do in class. There is a coin collection mechanic and a shop where you can spend these coins. This serves as a second motivator for the children where they'll be able to customize their character by buying clothing and accessories for them.
