Project description
The goal is to research, explore, and give advice about using universal connectivity to connect smart tools with the Digital Work Instruction (DWI) workstation at BIC and create a general Azumuta template for the DWI. Implement at least one smart tool to the workstation, specifically focusing on collecting and analyzing the data surrounding the smart tool and the connection to the workstation.
Context
This project is provided by NXTGen, specifically the part aimed at improving the human assembly line. NXTGen is a national growth fund for investing in high-tech solutions. The overall goal of NXTGen is to strengthen the Netherlands position as a leader in high-tech equipment to contribute to economic growth.
Results
Our most important result is creating an active connection between Azumuta and the pick to light system. With the help of this connection operators can easily see which parts they need for each assembly step.
Aside from this we started on research for a universal connector. With the help of this universal connector, new smart tools can be easily implemented without any problems.
