Project description
The 3Beam AIoT LED Black Board Cluster monitors your space in real-time tracking environment, interaction, and energy. Smarter than a hub, cooler than Tidbyt, and less creepy than Alexa. Like a Nest thermostat that gets the whole room.
Context
Unlike typical screens or ambient display gadgets, this product leverages a LED matrix with a higher resolution combined with sensors (light, motion, sound, temperature) and local AI on Raspberry Pi or Pico microcontrollers. It supports real-time visualization, environmental awareness, and inter-device clustering for multi-board scenarios.
Key differentiators include:
1. AIoT capabilities with on-device intelligence for privacy-first data processing.
2. Plug-and-play deployment suitable for startups, schools, and enterprise clusters.
3. STEAM-ready: Supports art, design, programming, electronics, and AI in education.
4. Scalable architecture: from single-board setups to admin-managed multi-node systems.
5. Design-focused: retro ambient form factor with configurable behaviors (dashboards, alerts, art).
Its modular software architecture built with C++ and Python modules, using CI/CD, GitHub integration, and a plugin-ready API makes it as extensible as it is powerful. It’s lightweight, open, and perfect for both enterprise monitoring and creative expression.
By embedding sensor feedback, local data visualization, and collaborative modes, this board offers a next-gen interaction paradigm. It enables hands-on input, AI-enhanced output, and tangible computing all in a retro-futuristic, energy-efficient form.
Results
Working functional prototype. From concept to realization.
