Project description
The design challenge of the project is to find a model that meets the requirements for the AI tutor and to determine how to train this model to effectively help students. How should it assist the students?
Context
This tool is designed to help students by providing tutoring support. For teachers, it serves as a way to track student progress and identify whether a student needs help. The AI tutor is intended for educational purposes.
Results
The result of the project is that the AI tutor now has an initial foundation to build upon. It is possible to chat with the AI tutor about basic English subjects. The subject modules consist of grammar theory, grammar exercises, and listening exercises. The system includes functionalities for logging student conversations with the AI tutor, uploading lessons and assignments, and tracking student progress.
About the project group
We worked using the SCRUM Agile methodology. Every Monday, we held a stand-up meeting where team members shared what they had done and what they planned to do. Every three weeks, we presented our progress to the product owner. If we had questions or needed quick feedback, we contacted the product owner via email.
Our group consisted of five members: two technical students, one with some technical knowledge, and two non-technical students
