Project description
This semester, we created a platform that can speed up and automate the process of testing strategies in Metatrader 4. This will be achieved by developing a reliable dashboard system that allows users to test multiple strategies with various settings simultaneously.
Context
Manual trading is time-consuming and slows down the rollout of new ideas. Trading platforms allow you to create strategies and execute them, but they often prioritize profits from trades over your success. For small traders, it’s crucial to test strategies independently of brokers to ensure profitability before and during live trading. This way, you can adapt to changing market conditions and avoid unnecessary losses.
The created strategies are made in a broker application called Metatrader which is the essence of this project. Within the broker you can create your own strategies and test them with the provided from Quant Data Manager historical market data.
Results
The result is working PoCs together with functionality for conducting automated backtests.
