Bierens - Automated intake flow
Project description
Our main goal in this project is to automate the intake and evaluation process of debt collection requests at Bierens Incasso Advocaten. Currently, all incoming requests are manually reviewed based on compliance criteria, which is time consuming and prone to error. Our challenge is to create an automated solution that speeds up this process while maintaining accuracy. We are developing a prototype of an automated workflow that integrates with Bierens' existing IT systems, allowing employees to focus on more complex or strategic tasks.
Context
Bierens Incasso Advocaten is a Dutch law firm specializing in B2B debt collection, operating both nationally and internationally. With over 65 years of experience, the firm combines legal expertise with decisive collection strategies. Currently, the intake process for new requests is handled entirely manually. Each year, around 20,000 requests are processed, resulting in inefficiency, delays, and increased workload.
We have been asked to analyze and improve this process through automation. Our solution aims not only to reduce processing time but also to lower operational costs and improve client satisfaction. This project aligns with Bierens' strategic objective of increasing efficiency without expanding its workforce.
Results
We have developed a working prototype of an automated workflow that supports the intake evaluation process. This prototype is based on a detailed analysis of the current (IST) situation, a clearly defined desired (SOLL) situation, and a set of functional and technical requirements. Through interviews, problem analysis, and iterative design, we created a flow using Azure Logic Apps.
