Project description
The main question of this project was:
How can GreenZone use data visualization to gain insights and improve sales and decision-making?
By analyzing sales data, customer locations, product trends, and seasonal patterns, we created clear visualizations to support smarter business decisions. The goal was to turn raw data into useful insights that help GreenZone grow and respond better to market demands.
Context
This project took place in the floral wholesale sector, focusing on B2B sales. GreenZone is a company that sells flowers to businesses, mainly in Germany. The goal was to support their sales and decision-making through better data analysis and visualization.
Results
The main outcome of this project is an interactive dashboard built in Qlik Sense, designed to help GreenZone improve sales decisions using clear data insights. The dashboard includes the following key components:
- A filter panel (by year and flower color),
- A pie chart showing the percentage share of sales,
- The top 5 best-selling product groups,
- The top 5 best-selling flower products,
- A sales-over-time chart including a 3-week forecast.
With this setup, users can quickly see which flowers sell best, which product groups perform well, and how sales vary over time. The filter options allow users to focus on specific timeframes or product characteristics, which makes the dashboard both flexible and user-friendly.
In conclusion, this dashboard turns complex data into clear, practical insights - helping GreenZone make smarter decisions about products, timing, and customer focus.
