Project description
How can a digital platform support youth visibility and intergenerational collaboration in a local community context such as Hemelrijken, while enabling inclusive learning and community engagement?
Context
The PWMI Academy aims to create inclusive and engaging experiences that empower youth through educational and community-centered programs. As part of this mission, the Academy seeks to develop a digital platform that connects youth with local residents, mentors, and sponsors across Eindhoven — for example, Hemelrijken neighborhood, which has been identified as an area undergoing social and spatial revitalization. This initiative responds to an emerging need: while young people have ideas, stories, and skills to offer, they often lack structured, visible, and welcoming spaces to share them. At the same time, many local stakeholders — including residents, professionals, and organizations — are looking for new ways to support, collaborate, and learn from the younger generation. The PWMI SamenWijzer project was therefore conceived as a co-creative digital tool to bring these groups together.
Results
The final products include: a functioning interactive prototype in Figma demonstrating SamenWijzer, a chatbot onboarding flow, visual mockups of optional components such as the Journal and an explanatory style guide outlining typography, color schemes, and interaction rules. These are supported by documentation including a MoSCoW table of feature priorities, a summary of research insights, usability testing results, and a pitch presentation.
