Education, LLO and AI: a powerful combination in practice

Fontys ICT colleagues Koen Suilen and Sandra Verhoeven were recently guests on an episode of the podcast Voer voor Onderwijs, recorded at the Fontys ICT InnovationLab in Eindhoven.

In an inspiring conversation, they discuss how education and lifelong learning (LLL) come together in a world where AI is playing an increasingly important role. Topics covered include:

  • Mixing students and professionals in a single learning environment
  • Introducing real-world questions into education
  • The role of AI in education today and tomorrow

In the podcast, Koen emphasises the importance of sustainable development:
‘Do you go on a two-day course in the countryside, or do you invest 18 weeks, one day a week, so that knowledge really sticks and can be applied immediately in practice?’

The unique collaboration between students and professionals on current practical assignments also demonstrates how innovative and valuable modern education can be.

An absolute must-listen for anyone involved in educational innovation, AI and/or LLO.
