Student project Honeybee

Students from Fontys ICT have developed an innovative solution for military drone operators to continue practising their skills, even when flying real drones is not possible due to full airspaces.

They have worked on creating a Drone Flying Simulator, focused on realism in both drone manoeuvring and the tactical deployment of drones. With this, they aimed to highlight how drones are used in military operations, encouraging users to apply their drone skills for serious purposes, while also ensuring their abilities stayed up to standard through a realistic simulation of drone manoeuvring.

The project team received a SPARC Award at Innovations Insight for this project, which is a wonderful recognition of its contribution to society.
