The Weekend School visiting, full house at the InnovationLab on Sunday morning

On Sunday 10 November, The Weekend School hosted the InnovationLab for the second Sunday in a row. A group of 50 curious kids aged 10 to 14 got the chance to learn about different aspects of ICT and technology. They got to do 4 workshops: VR, FIRST Lego League, The Techable Machine and GoDot game building. They learned how to design a game, did a fun robot game and took a look at the virtual world. Not only the youngsters, but also the lecturers (Chris, Lennart and Frans) and students (Ash, Jeffrey, Rens, Dorinda, Jordi and Sanne) were super enthusiastic and left at the end of the afternoon with a big smile.

The Weekend School is an extra opportunity for children to learn about what they can become later. At this school, they get the opportunity to take courses from professionals during the weekend, in addition to their regular school. They are introduced to different professions and fields of expertise, developing a broad view of the world and strengthening their self-confidence and ambitions. It was great to see their curiosity and inspire this group for the future in technology.
