Project description
The goal was to expand upon the existing game, to create a vertical slice that:
- Is easy to understand and play;
- Can be used at Fontys open days to excite new students about Game Design and ICT;
- Is expandable with new levels and minigames.
Context
What is PartyMorph?
PartyMorph is a four-player local multiplayer party game made in Godot, originally developed at FHICT as a student project. It started out as a racing game but eventually transformed into a modular minigame experience inspired by Mario Party. The goal was to create a game that:
- Is easy to understand and fun to play;
- Can be used at Fontys open days to excite new students about Game Design and ICT;
- Is expandable with new levels and minigames.
Results
We created a modular scoring system that excites the player with cool visuals.
We also created a Plinko machine to give players a fun interaction in between the mini-games.
And finally we created a new system which dynamically loads scenes, creating more replayablity as there will be more and more different scenarios
