Fontys ICT InnovationLab for Applied Research
Introduction
Universities of Applied Science have a central role in rendering new technologies market-ready through applied research. Applied research questions bridges the knowledge gap between academia and industry by working closely with research groups and business stakeholders. By working together with students, researchers, professors and professionals, we at Fontys ICT InnovationLab accelerate the development of ICT innovations, using the qualities each participant has to offer in creativity, expert knowledge, and business know-how.
Research groups and student projects for Applied Research
The Fontys ICT InnovationLab is where new innovations are created for ICT, which requires applied research. Partners in Innovation, united in SPARC, work closely with students and researchers, providing the questions and challenges that form research projects for our students. At the same time, applied research is done by our professorships in research groups with our research partners, focused on topics like artificial intelligence, robots, human capital, applied games, data & software services and digital communities. This includes long-term research projects funded by NWO grants and contributions from SPARC members. Working as a researcher at Fontys ICT InnovationLab means sharing knowledge, learning, innovating and creating the future with business and the next generation of ICT professionals.
