Project description
Omron wanted us to locate and investigate the different types of bottlenecks and waste in their Line Data, after which we were asked to analyze these bottlenecks. At the end of the project, we are to supply Omron with 5 interesting data points that can be analyzed further in future project iterations.
Context
Omron is a company that produces operating elements for machines. These products are created on an assembly line. Omron recently upgraded their data-collection process to obtain even more data regarding this assembly line. The project group is tasked with analyzing this new data.
Results
We delivered the five data points that are relevant for Omron and interesting to analyze further.
We also delivered an analysis tool for future project groups that makes it easier for them to analyze the received data. A tool that instantly highlights bottlenecks and then further analyzes whether these are random, or patternized.
About the project group
We are a project group primarily consisting of Business students. We have worked on this project for an entire semester adopting a sprint structure, and receiving feedback from the Stakeholder bi-weekly. We also work together with another Fontys project group that is responsible for supplying us with data.
